The Officer Services Support position ensures that consumer appointments are scheduled, the phones are answered, and lobby traffic is managed.  This position is responsible for exceptional customer service and support to consumers, LifeWays staff, network providers, physicians and nurses, and the community.  The Office Services Support position responds appropriately to all questions, concerns, and informational requests, and provides solutions to challenges or situations as they are presented.  

Essential Functions:

  • Welcomes and directs the flow of traffic of LifeWays visitors, staff, consumers and providers in a professional, friendly and trauma-informed manner.
  • Completes first-time consumer paperwork and gathers/updates essential information through check-in/check-out process.  
  • Monitors Access security cameras and safety of staff and consumers, alerts appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Responsible for daily appointment reminder calls to consumers.
  • Maintains accurate schedules for LifeWays' clinical providers.
  • Conducts insurance, provider and/or fee assessment lookups on a daily basis as well as verifying authorizations and insurance cards for each appointment.
  • Provide additional support functions including but not limited to: copy, scan, shred, file, and other duties as assigned.
  • Available to work during hours of operations as scheduled by supervisor, may include holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) standards.

Education/Certification/Licensure:

  • Associate degree in related field, preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid training.
